Illegally downloading music has become more and more popular over the past years, especially over youths. In the 15 – 24 age group, 34% admitted to illegally sharing music over the internet. On the other hand, research shows that 10% of Europeans are willing to pay to download tracks. Research in Sweden showed that 31% were willing to buy their tracks. There has been a recent crackdown on people illegally downloading/sharing music. Hundreds of people in America have been fined thousands of dollars and 23 people have been sued in the UK for a total of £50,000. Music industries are fed up of people illegally downloading and sharing music as no money goes to the artists who recorded the music.
Jammie Thomas, Minnesota was fined $220,000 (£108,000) by six record companies for offering to share 24 songs over the internet.
Over the past years, she has shared a total of 1,702 songs over the internet via an illegal downloading program called Kazaa. She illegally downloaded songs and then offered them online via her Kazaa file sharing account.
A 12 year old girl, in New York, was also sued by major record companies for illegally downloading songs through Kazaa. She was among hundreds of people sued across America.
She thought that it was okay to download the music as her mother paid a $29.99 service charge to Kazaa.
People who are sued under the federal copyright law could be forced to pay up to $150,000 per song.
However, it is stated in Kazaa’s licence agreement, that you must agree not to “transmit, access or communicate any data that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party.”
Millions of people are illegally downloading music every day but are not being caught. It is illegal to download music without permission from the record label.
Internationally, in Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain and Italy have also started to take action over P2P Sharing. In Italy, at least 75 people have been taken to court. A survey in Spain revealed that 13.1% admitted to downloading free music, a massive rise from the previously counted 3.8%. However, only 1.5% of the Spanish said that they had purchased a pirate CD or cassette, a downfall from the 4.1% a year ago.

In 1975 the percentage of women obesity was 6% and men 7%.
They estimate that by 2050 the percentage will be 50%!!
So how can we put a stop to this?
First of all YOU ARE WAT YOU EAT.
Sports…keep you healthy
Sit ups…flat stomach
Walking…. keeps your blood pumping
.Going to the gym….keeps you fit
Press ups….keeps you fit
Aerobics….keeps you fit
Swimming
Even participating in a dance club!
Without exercise your bones will become weak. Your heart is so important and the healthier it is the longer it will last.
Cover your mouth and nose when sneezing and coughing.
Always wash your hands after you touched a animal or used the toilet.
Always wash your hands before you cook.
Always check the date on your food.
IN my opinion you should have a balanced diet and stick to your 5 fruit a day. Drink lots of water and do lots of exercise. If you follow this you will be PERFECT!

DVD and Game Review
DVDHeroes: Season 1 Part 1
Heroes, the much awaited TV programme, arrived on our screens in July. Since then people all over the country have been gripped and now the first part is coming out on DVD.
The DVD contains the first half of the season, which has been shown on BBC 2 for the past 2 months, which includes us meeting the characters whilst they find out about their powers. The whole series is about a group of people who don’t know each other trying to stop a bomb going off in the middle of New York. However along the way there is a man trying to stop them, a man called Sylar. Sylar also has a power and wants everyone else’s powers. He does this by killing others with powers and takes their brains. When he kills them he absorbs their power and moves onto his next victim.
So far I’m hooked and never miss an episode. I rate the season so far 5/5
More brain training is the follow-up game to brain training (the original), which had different mini-games to the new one. Both have brain age check which checks your brain age over three different mini-games. The closer your brain age is to 20 the better. However you can only test your brain once a day.
On more brain training there is also a mini-game to relax your brain called germ buster, which is like the old game-boy game Tetris.
When you first start the game, just like the old one, you will get stamps and after you get a certain amount of stamps you will unlock new mini-games to play and help you do better in the brain age check.
Also there are sudoku games to play on the main menu. You can choose between easy or intimidate at first and when you finish a certain amount of puzzles you can get harder puzzles.
Overall, after playing it for 2 months I rate it 4/5

England makes it to the rugby world cup final
RUGBY- England victory sends the hosts out!
On 13th October England took on France at the “Stade de France” in the first of the weekends semi-finals. Many people had great doubts about whether England could once again beat the odds after the heart stopping performance against Australia. There where some great believers who always knew it could be done, the majority though had little hope of beating the hosts in their national stadium. The French media have been boasting and they have even said that “France have talent, Maybe more talent than the all blacks”.

England got off to the best start possible when Josh Lewsey took full advantage of a lucky bounce and dived over the line clattering through French full back Damien Traille after only 2 minutes. But England where hit with a huge blow when Josh Lewsey suffered a grade 1 tear to his right hamstring. Johnny Wilkinson wasn’t up to scratch and couldn’t capitalise on Josh lewsey’s try by converting the try for 2 more points. Johnny continued to kick well below par for the best part of the game. The try however boosted the French and gave them something they definitely needed after conceding so early. Johnny’s French counterpart Lionel Beauxis however, gave France a slender 1 point lead after kicking 2 penalties after only 18 minutes.
Only 4 minutes after the restart England conceded another penalty for coming in the side of the ruck. Lionel then put France even further ahead by taking full advantage of England’s Mistake. But Wilkinson must have found his kicking boots in the break though and brought the French lead back to 1 point. After he kicked three points after France committed the same offence. Wilkinson missed another drop goal opportunity though after 59 minutes giving France the ball back again. But Wilkinson stepped up and delivered when it mattered most.
75 minutes gone when France conceded a penalty for a dangerous high tackle on Jason Robinson, Johnny calmly stepped up to take the kick and sent it soaring through the posts. With only 2 minutes to go Johnny sealed victory for England when he landed another match winning drop goal.
The thrilling match ended with tears from both sides of glory and sadness after England won 14-9. England are now looking forward to their meeting with South Africa in the Final and believe they can win. Even after their humiliating 36-0 defeat in the earlier stages. South Africa are most defiantly the favourites but there is now the belief that England can win. Brian Ashton the England coach says “We’re gonna rewrite history.” Jason Robinson who will hang up his boots after this world cup is desperate to win and said “No one thought England would be in the final and it’s a massive achievement. But we don’t want to finish here. No one wants to be a loser in a final.” Phil Vicary the English captain has also stated that "The South Africa game was a bitter pill to swallow. Everyone said we'd be going home early. But we are in the final and we will prove them wrong”

South Africa are a deadly force though as they demonstrated to the Argentineans last night. Bryan Habana equaled Jonah lomu’s world cup try scoring record, to help South Africa join England in the final, after beating Argentina 37-13 at the “Stade de France” on Sunday. Bryan Habana showed why he is still the deadliest finisher in rugby with 2 spectacular tries as the springboks produced a display of amazing speed, agility, control and power. This is the springboks first final for 12 years since they won the “Ellis cup” back on home turf. Bryan was interviewed and said "We rested on our laurels in the first part of the second half but their try certainly switched us back on and we got back into test rugby and got ourselves back on the front foot. “We can all expect an amazing final to finish a great world cup.”

Closing the Stables for building development
The Stables, which is situated in Camden, is due to close down to make space for yet another building development. It is an important part of Camden market and there have been many protests about the proposed changes .The Stables used to be a Horse Hospital and has been around for many years. It certainly seems to catch everyone’s attention, with
its huge stone arch and beautiful architecture.
So why develop it now?
There is much debate, especially amongst locals, about what they are going to do to it but not many people know the exact details. There are rumours that Topshop, H&M and Starbucks are coming in to replace the existing local traders which is causing angriness and protest. I think, living in the local area myself, that this is very understandable because the Stables is supposed to be a market and if all the colourful stalls vanish, then it will cease to be a market and start being more of a shopping centre. There is also the question about tourists. They come from far and wide to see the great Camden Market. Would they want to come all the way to London to see another shopping centre?
It is almost definitely going to turn into two new four storey buildings that will house shops, offices and cafes. Also, the beautiful brick roof will be reconstructed into glass and a new parking space is going to be installed. The traders are particularly angry about the reconstruction because they are going to have to pack up their stalls/shops and move elsewhere. Kareem Khodeir, who sells furniture and art, is shutting up his shop and moving to Spain. He said: “I went through all this with Greenwich market and I lost everything – my house, my car. I managed to delay the developers and even got a thank you from the Queen. Then I came to Camden and the same thing’s happening again so I’m off to Spain.”
Kareem’s frustration is reflective of most of the traders in the market and also some of the people who are regular visitors to the market.
Please write in what you think about this issue. We are very interested to hear your opinion.

The 12 finalists for The X Factor made it through the boot camp experience and they are now awaiting the competition that could change their lives. In their previous interviews they have said that they are really nervous and already want the viewers’ votes to help them get as far as possible.
Serious Incidents:
The disappearance of Madeline McCann has affected many, many people all around the world. The police have been investigating for months now but there has been nothing. They have even ended up taking her mother as a suspect. There is still no other evidence or clues to help them solve this terrible case. She was last seen in Portugal on the night of her disappearance. Her parents were out in a local bar just meters away from were they were staying, when Madeline and her siblings were asleep somebody crept in and took her away.
Education:
Surveys done in many schools, recently found out that stress is a frequent problem in the pupils as they feel worried and tense about school life. The fact that children now have a lot of tests at such young ages does bring a vibe of anxiety into the classrooms. The crime level in England has risen tremendously over the past 20 years and the amount of crime and unpleasant every day happenings is greater then ever before. This can put a dull outlook upon things all together. The pupil’s home lives can also become violent and abusive which causes some of the depression being brought into the school.

Martin Dinnegan Case
-Four teenage boys appeared in court last Monday, charged with the murder of Martin Dinnegan, who was killed on 26th June. They all claim they are innocent. There have been several young victims of gun and knife crime in the past months. As teenagers ourselves, we must help put a stop to these fatal attacks by working with the local councils.
I believe there are better solutions to young people’s problems than carrying weapons. Too many lives have been lost; we can’t let this happen any longer. If you are currently carrying a weapon, think about the damage you could cause. Don’t forget, you can always hand it into the police anonymously.
SATS results
-Primary school students across Camden have earned the borough their best Maths results ever. The number of children getting their expected grades has risen from 72% in 2006 to 76% this year. What did you get in your year 6 SATS? Where you pleased with the results? Tell us what you think.
Royal Free Gets A Makeover
-The Royal Free Hospital is getting a brand new look to solve the car park chaos. The lack of spaces has caused trouble for many staff and patients. Motorbike spaces will be available as well as 20 extra spaces and a one way system will be put into place. There are also hopes for work to be done on the Accident & Emergency department. Hopefully, not too many people will be paying visits.
Ex-Mayor Passes Away
-Sadly, Camden’s ex-mayor has passed away at the age of 66. Bob Hall took the position of Mayor in 1997 until 1998. He was also a Labour Councillor and lived with his wife in Gospel Oak. His life included many exciting events such as visiting historical sites in Holland and South Africa. He will be sorely missed.
Postal Strikes
-Postmen working within the borough of Camden have gone on strike recently. They say they didn’t want to, but have been forced into taking more drastic action. Their issues are with pay, pensions and working conditions. Many workers have been loyal to the Royal Mail for years and face an early start of 6am every morning. Some would say they deserve better.
What do you think of the postal service is your area? Don’t forget to post your opinions and come back to see what others think. We’ll be replying to all of your comments in good time, so don’t worry.
