DVD and Game Review

DVD

Heroes: Season 1 Part 1

Heroes, the much awaited TV programme, arrived on our screens in July. Since then people all over the country have been gripped and now the first part is coming out on DVD.
The DVD contains the first half of the season, which has been shown on BBC 2 for the past 2 months, which includes us meeting the characters whilst they find out about their powers. The whole series is about a group of people who don’t know each other trying to stop a bomb going off in the middle of New York. However along the way there is a man trying to stop them, a man called Sylar. Sylar also has a power and wants everyone else’s powers. He does this by killing others with powers and takes their brains. When he kills them he absorbs their power and moves onto his next victim.
So far I’m hooked and never miss an episode. I rate the season so far 5/5

Games

More Brain Training

More brain training is the newest brain training game out now. It contains various mini-games, including masterpiece recital, which help develop your brain, if you use them everyday.
More brain training is the follow-up game to brain training (the original), which had different mini-games to the new one. Both have brain age check which checks your brain age over three different mini-games. The closer your brain age is to 20 the better. However you can only test your brain once a day.
On more brain training there is also a mini-game to relax your brain called germ buster, which is like the old game-boy game Tetris.
When you first start the game, just like the old one, you will get stamps and after you get a certain amount of stamps you will unlock new mini-games to play and help you do better in the brain age check.
Also there are sudoku games to play on the main menu. You can choose between easy or intimidate at first and when you finish a certain amount of puzzles you can get harder puzzles.
Overall, after playing it for 2 months I rate it 4/5
